Glass Temple

Recorded late at night in a ceremonial temple in the Sacred Valley in Peru, Glass Temple is a musical prayer of medicine songs and sacred songs learned from musicians in Peru and elsewhere. Instruments tuned to 432hz and recorded single-mic with no overdubs or second takes in an exceptionally sweet-sounding acoustic space, these are my most intimate recordings.

Written and recorded while working at the Smithsonian Folkways Music Archive in Washington DC, Groove was inspired by folk and Appalachian music.
